The RELAX Sunset Amber Lamp from CHIRYŌ light Therapy gives you a portable source of 100% blue-light-free amber lighting that fits in the palm of your hand. Rechargeable, lightweight, and made without any glass components, it’s designed to go where standard lamps can’t.

Three brightness levels (25%, 50%, 100%) let you set the lamp for whatever the evening needs – gentle low-level lighting for the wind-down hours, brighter for reading or eating, soft for night-time wake-ups.

The 360° gooseneck bends to wherever you need the light – over a book, beside a child’s bed, wrapped around a frame, across a hospital tray-table.

Q. Are all Amber Light Bulbs the Same?

A. No. Most “amber” or “warm” lamps still contain significant blue light – particularly tinted, coated, or smart lamps with adjustable colour modes. The colour of the casing doesn’t tell you what wavelengths the lamp actually emits. Our RELAX Sunset Amber is engineered to be 100% blue light free, with the spectrum measured at source.

Many of our customers come to us because they’ve read about the impact of blue light and realised their “warm white” lamps aren’t doing what the packaging implies.

They want a genuine alternative for their everyday lighting – something they can put on the bedside table, the desk, the kids’ bedroom, and take with them when they travel. CHIRYŌ Light Therapy RELAX Sunset Amber Lamp is exactly that. It’s the practical, everyday version of healthy lighting.

Travel, Hospitals, and Care Settings

One of the most common uses for RELAX Sunset Amber lamp – and one of the reasons we made it portable – is for environments you don’t control. Hospital wards, hotel rooms, holiday lets, and respite care all run on whatever lighting the room comes with. The RELAX Sunset Amber Lamp travels in a bag, recharges from any USB-C, and creates a small zone of blue-light-free lighting wherever you are.

Sleep Difficulties

Amber lighting also supports sleep – because it’s 100% blue light free, it doesn’t suppress melatonin or signal daytime to the brain.

Harvard Medical School recommends reducing blue light exposure in the hours before sleep, and amber lighting is the easiest way to do that across the whole home. If you want to go further in the final hour before bed, our SLEEP Red range removes green wavelengths as well, for the lowest possible visual stimulation in the bedroom.

Households Managing Mental Health, Neurodivergence, and Neurodegenerative Diseases

A lot of our customers are managing mental health conditions (anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar), neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette’s, global developmental delay), or caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

Sensory sensitivity to light is common across all three. Amber is often more accepted in these households than red because it feels closer to “normal” lighting while still being 100% blue light free — making it easier to introduce as the everyday household light. Families using Melatonin

Many of our customers are families whose child or parent has been prescribed melatonin. What the prescription doesn’t come with is a conversation about evening lighting, which is one of the main factors working against melatonin – both the medicine and the body’s own production.

A peer-reviewed study found that melatonin suppression from artificial light is greater in children than in adults (see sources below). Both RELAX Sunset Amber and SLEEP Red remove 100% blue light from your evening lighting. The difference is when you use them.

RELAX Sunset Amber is your everyday evening lighting – the replacement for general household lamps across living rooms, kitchens, hallways, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Bright enough for normal evening tasks, warm in colour, and 100% blue light free. The practical starting point for a healthier-lighting home.

SLEEP Peaceful Red goes further by removing green light as well as blue, leaving a deep red glow that the brain reads most clearly as night. Typically chosen for the last hour or two before bed – bedrooms, nurseries, bedtime reading, night-time wake-ups. Some customers find red too dim or too red for general use, which is exactly why amber exists.

Many customers use both: RELAX Sunset Amber across the home in the evening, SLEEP Peaceful Red in the bedroom from an hour before sleep.

When RELAX Sunset Amber may not be ideal

Please Note: Amber lighting isn’t right for every task. If you’re applying contouring makeup, cooking something where visual colour accuracy matters (judging meat, sauces, presentation), or doing detailed art work, a white light source will serve you better for those specific tasks. Many of our customers use RELAX Sunset Amber as their main household lighting and keep a small directional white task lamp for these moments. The two work well together.
